Russian blogger Eduard Bagirov may face 8 years in prison in Moldova, the country’s Prosecutor’s Office reported on Wednesday.

Bagirov was arrested in June charged with being linked to the April 2009 unrest and the looting organized by the opposition after the presidential elections.

In late September Russia’s Foreign Ministry issued a protest note and urged to free the writer.
